DeepDyve:

How to use DeepDyve:

1. "Log in" in the upper right corner of http://deepdyve.com
2. Type in topic or name of paper you're looking for
3. Click the article
4. Click "Read Article"

A few notes for getting started

1. I want to print an article:
Some articles have a limit on printing. I wasted all the pages to see what happens when we reach the 20 limit. The system won't allow us to go over the limit: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mbbanrh1t6hfog6/Screenshot%202014-11-26%2013.32.53.png?dl=0

Plus, 20 page limit is pretty useless. Whoever uses it first is welcome to it.

2. I want to buy an article
As far as I can tell, this will not charge to our credit card. It asks for a new payment method for articles. So I’m pretty sure we’re ok and people can’t accidentally charge the BioCurious credit card. I'm not sure what happens if someone puts in their credit card once and buys an article, is that stored?

3. Potential $$$ Charges to BioCurious?
A. “Pay for 1 year” the account is a possibility from the Accounts page, in which case we would be charged for a full year of service If this happens I’m sure we could get it rolled back as long as we found out about it.
Please don't update our account to a 1 year account. If you do by accident, please email me immediately

4. DeepDyve isn't perfect
PDFs aren't common, mostly you have to read through their web interface. If you want to save something, screenshot it (apple-shift-4 on a Mac). AND, some articles aren't available. If you can't find it on Deep Dyve, check out more options for publications on the BioCurious Wiki.

5. Save $20/month on your own account
If you want a deal on your own account, email me and I'll connect you with a $20/month discount.
